Our film rating.
For the film 'autumn leaves' we have decided to to give a certificate rating of '12'. in a '12' rated movie it means that we have decided to use things that we are not able to use in a 'PG' or a 'U' rated film, such as we have elements of illness and death that may not be deemed appropriate for children of young ages. Also there may be a few bad words used in the film that is inappropriate for children to hear. But we didn’t rate it as a '15' or an '18' because although there is the element of death '15' and '18' rated films involve strong language, also in '15' and '18' there is scenes of sexual, drug taking, consuming alcohol and strong scenes of blood and violence. We haven’t used anything of this sort so it would be wrong to deem it as inappropriate as it will fit into thew category '12A' as well meaning kids can go to see it with their parents. Our target is 16 to 24 year olds and would appeal more to woman because it is a rom com but also it would appeal to couples as well but in choosing a lower age rating we have made it more accessible to all audiences and of all ages.
